• A dSLR on manual settings (set from 2-10″ or bulb exposure)- light used

 

  • A very dark room (or nighttime outdoors)- this technique will omly work in a dark room

 

  • A tripod- tripod is needed to take the photo

 

  • A human subject- can be an animal subject but humans works too

 

  • A strobe or flashgun (speedlight) with a test button (to manually fire the flash)-flash from phone or flash-gun

 

  • Someone to serve as an extra pair of hands (not required but it helps a lot)- could help taking the photo

 

  • light meter-measures amount of light being used

 

  • ISO to 100-general camera setting

 

  • Apeture- major key into taking the picture with technique
